PETG (Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol) is a popular choice for 3D printing because of its durability, ease of use and versatility. It can withstand mechanical stress and is less likely to break than PLA. It can also retain its mechanical properties over time. PETG is easy to print, with good bed adhesion and minimal warping. PETG is resistant to moisture, making it suitable for outdoor, waterproof parts, and other objects that need to withstand damp conditions. PETG is also food-safe and can be used for applications involving food contact.

Printing Advice

1. PETG has a higher melting temperature than PLA so we recommend setting your hot end temperature between 235 and 250°C.
2. ALWAYS use a fan with PETG as it tends to cool the filament in the hot end and help with retractions.
3. Keep your retraction speed slow at 40mm/s or less.
4. Set your bed temperature to 80-100°C .
5. The best surface for printing PETG plastic is a PEI build plate
